Absolutely loved this camp! Amy and Doug were so friendly and genuine. There's so much space for the kids to ride their bikes and for the dogs to have a run. Beautiful views, close to the city while still being very private. Our kids loved all the animals and finding green tree frogs everywhere. 100% will be going back next time we are in Cairns.

Amy and Doug are legends! Their property was extremely clean and well maintained, close to Cairns and very secure. We felt very comfortable being able to leave our camper trailer there all day while day tripping into Cairns. Any groceries or essentials are available at Gordonvale only a minutes drive up the road. Thanks you Amy and Doug.

Great spot to stay very secure behind fence. Great view of the range, very peaceful. Amy and Doug great host keep the place looking great. Animals are lovely 2 dogs, horse, pony, chickens and Guinea fowl are great to watch. Great spot to base yourself to see Cairns as it only a 20 min drive into town, Have been here twice and will go back again

Stayed for 6 nights at Highleigh farm. A great base for exploring Cairns, beautiful outlook and lots of space for the kids to play outside. The camp had a lovely community feel, the kids made lots of friends and loved the animals. Amy and Doug were lovely and put a lot of effort into making the place neat and tidy. Great to catch up around the communal fire in the evenings. Booked for 4 nights on power to re-charge the batteries and then moved over to unpowered for an extra 2 nights. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Set in the cane fields. Amy and Doug are really friendly. They work very hard to prepare a good place to rest. We loved the dogs and farm animals that walked around the grounds. Grass sites. Would gladly stay again.

Loved our 6 night stay here, such a great lower cost option to the cairns caravan parks and much more space. Kids loved being able to play and ride around on the little BMX track, great IGA in town, and only 20m drive to Cairns. Awesome base and would stay again when I'm the area.

Had the pleasure of staying at Highleigh Farm this weekend. Wow, what a great place to stay. Welcoming hosts Amy & Doug couldn't do enough for us. Safe, fully fenced paddock in between cane fields and the Pyramid Mountain. Great communal camp fire, plenty of room for kids to play. Even a little BMX track. Morning greetings from the chooks and Guinea fowl, a couple of friendly horses. Very calming place to relax. Easy access to Cairns and surrounds and knowing your van is very safe to leave for day trips. We'll be back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This camp was the perfect base and lower cost option for our family to explore Cairns and the surrounds. Such a safe spot to leave our van for daytrips and the kids had the best time in the fully fenced paddock running free and riding bikes with other families. Doug and Amy are awesome hosts—super friendly, delivered passion fruits and even built the kids a little BMX track! The paddock is surrounded by sugar cane, with the occasional cute little sugar cane train that goes past and toots for the kids if they're out and about. Walsh Pyramid backdrop tops it all off, along with the numerous walks, hikes, and waterfall exploring in the surrounds. We kept extending our stay and Amy was so helpful when we needed to organize a tow truck for our caravan. Would return again!
